Karate Edge Spring Updates | Belt Testing Information
We hope everyone is enjoying the end of winter and beginning of spring!
We wanted to give everyone a quick update:
At the moment we are in a holding pattern with the state as the state phasing for additional reopening guidelines has been paused. As such we have decided to proceed with our Belt Test as we did last fall before the second shutdown.
Those attending in-person classes will test during their regular classes during testing week, those unable to attend in-person will test via Zoom on the Saturday at the end of testing week. We will update everyone again once additional guidance is given by the State.
2021 Spring Belt Promotion Week
*All Belt Testing will take place March 29 – April 3
- Students must have all 8 stripes to test for the next belt level.
- If you attend in-person classes and are ready to test, we kindly ask that you attend your in-person classes during testing week. Zoom testing should only be for those that are unable to attend due to health reasons.
*In-Person Testing will be March 29 – April 2
This will be held during the students regular classes for the week.
Sign up for your weekly classes, as normal, through the Karate Edge App.
When you attend your class during testing week, if you are ready to test, your instructor will test you during your class. If you do not have all of your stripes and are not ready to test, you will continue working on and practicing for your stripes during the class. Make-up testing will be in the weeks following the test.
For those testing in person, they will receive their belt during belt pickup on Saturday, April 3rd. See below for further details.
*Zoom Testing will be Saturday, April 3rd.
There will be no regular classes this day as we have reserved all times for the belt testing.
Zoom testing links will be given out the week of the test.

We are working closely with the Pierce County Health Department and the State to ensure that we can offer this fun and safe alternative care choice for those that need it.
We have daily themed activities for the kids, lots of active play time, and daily karate classes and fitness.
If you are interested in signing your child up for one of our camps, or several, please send a message or contact our office staff. Additional information for the camps will be released in the coming weeks.
